Grandparents’ Day

In September we celebrated Grandparents’ Day by inviting our grandparents to visit our classroom. We each had written about how our grandparents make us happy and presented these as they entered the room. After Mrs. Dennis’ welcomed everyone and read some “funny quotes” that children made about their grandparents, we interviewed our guests and shared their responses with the group. Mrs. Dennis then read The Relatives are Coming and talked about when her grandparents would come visit. We then got into small groups and several grandparents read books to us about the family. We had a wonderful day and made some great memories with our grandparents!
